I love our kids--the three boys who live in my house--as well as the kids at Calvary Church. And I have learned that being a dad isn't easy. This weekend we are trying to help parents help their teenagers through those tough years at the Turbulence Ahead Conference with Mark Gregston. With an international ministry endorsed by the likes of people like James MacDonald and organizations like Focus on the Family, Mark has been helping teens and parents reconcile with God and each other for more than 30 years now. In addition to the Friday/Saturday conference, we have asked Mark to speak to us on Sunday about how our entire community can work together to help the next generation follow Christ. Don't miss this weekend at Calvary.
I hope you are enjoying the worship series as much as I am! If you have missed a week--be sure to check out my blog. I am praying daily for our church family to experience greater joy in God. There are lots of great things happening here at Calvary--you can find a few of them below!
For Your Joy--and His glory,
What's new at Calvary...
If you’re the parent of a teen, or a child who will be a teen, you know that turbulent times lie ahead. Or perhaps you’re already experiencing some of those challenges. Be sure to get your tickets online for THIS Friday, 10.5 from 6:30-9p & Saturday, 10.6 from 9a-noon for the Turbulence Ahead Parenting Conference at Calvary Church. Mark Gregston, founder of Heartlight Ministries will provide biblical wisdom and practical insights to help you be ready when your child needs you most.
Nack Family Bon Voyage
After each service on Sunday, 10.14 the Nacks will be in the gym to enjoy fellowship time and light refreshments with the church family. Come help us send them off with warm wishes and encouragement for their journey as Pastor Cary begins his new position with RiverLakes Community Church in Bakersfield, California.
