Calvary Link: Mother’s Day

calvary-link-headerIt is providential that our text this week in Mark's gospel tells the story of Jesus taking a little child in his arms and teaching a lesson to his disciples. This Sunday we are going to hold little children and pray for God to bless them at our annual Mother's Day Baby Dedication Service. As I often say, children are not the future of our church--they are an important part of our church right NOW! Just as your own kids are part of your family now--the kids at Calvary are part of our family now. This Sunday, we are going to rejoice over the new children God has brought into our midst--and pray for God to bless families!!! By the way--if you want to participate in Baby Dedication Sunday--it's not too late. Just give us a call at the office today.

We are also going to preach from Mark's Gospel--and talk about why Jesus tells us to be like little children. Kurt has a new song to introduce to you this week too as we sing praises to God with the best worship team in the region! We expect it to be very full this Sunday so come early to get a good seat. I'm looking forward to celebrating Mother's Day with you.

For Your Joy,

Lionel
