Calvary Link: No Place Like Home

By: Calvary Church Last Updated: August 11, 2016

calvary-link-the-wayI’ve had some amazing educational experiences over the last few weeks: studying at the University of Cambridge, one of the world’s oldest universities, and meeting with pastors and scholars from differing parts of the world. I worshipped at Hillsong London and Holy Trinity Brompton (home church of Matt Redman). I had some time for quiet reflection, like morning communion in an 11th century church, and time for fun. I made my way into more than one art gallery and followed in the footsteps of C. S. Lewis, even spending an hour in a pub that he and Tolkien favored.

But there is no place like home. I’m glad to be reunited with my family, and looking forward to being reunited with you this Sunday! You have been in my thoughts and prayers all throughout these weeks. I’ve kept up with our church’s activities and mission trips via social media and emails with staff and elders, including the Calvary Men’s team in Kenya right now. You can see their pics on the Calvary Church Global Outreach Facebook page

I’m looking forward to getting back on The Way, our series in Acts, with all of you. Can’t wait to see you this Sunday!

Kids Hope
Outreach Opportunity - Calvary is excited to be partnering with Kids Hope and TJ Elementary School this fall. Kids Hope is "one mentor, one child, one hour each week." Will you give hope to a child this year by becoming a Kids Hope Mentor? A mentor must do four things: say the child's name, be faithful, believe in the child, and pray for the child.
