Calvary Link: Note from Pastor Knute Larson

By: Calvary Church Last Updated: June 19, 2013

calvary-link-headerJesus went to church, and so should we! Sunday we will look at the synagogue service when Jesus did the Scripture reading and then sat down and gave the most startling one-sentence explanation ever given. It started His public ministry, which Lionel is following so well in Mark's gospel, so it has a great tie to that series.

Would you consider reading Luke 4:14-30 to get ready?

Speaking of church, thanks be to God and also to so many who helped last Sunday at the park downtown. It was for sure joyful and good. Way to go! It makes me grateful to be tied to this strong and gracious church on such an important mission, started by Jesus the Christ.

He will be here in Spirit Sunday-- hope you can join us!

Thank you!

Knute Larson

Sermon Blog
Father's Day shouldn't be the only day of the year that we think about fatherhood. Being a dad is a tough job every day. A 'Word' to Dads is Pastor Lionel's message of encouragement for dads. But it's not just for the big guy; it's for everyone who knows a dad. Dad, your church community has got your back.
