Calvary Link: Spring 2016

Calvary-Link-Even-MoreSpring is almost here. Yes, it arrives this week on Palm Sunday. I'm looking forward to watching the world outside the window be renewed once again. Let me encourage you to make time for body and soul this spring. May God renew us!

Palm Sunday begins Holy Week. Whether you are working or breaking next week, I hope you will be here for Good Friday (4p and 6p) and Easter Sunday (6:45a, 8:15a, 9:45a & 10:45a) as we look forward together to a time when everything is made new. Please come, and please invite many friends and family to join us to hear the gospel. It's going to be beautiful!

This Sunday we continue our exposition of the book of Acts with more lessons from the story of the man who was powerfully healed by the Beautiful Gate leading into the Temple. What happens when we share our faith and there is opposition?

What's New at Calvary...

Easter Sunday
Easter Sunday is March 27. Join us at Calvary for a sunrise service at 6:45a or at 8:15a, 9:45a, or 11:15a as we celebrate the hope of Jesus, our risen Savior. Childcare is available for infants through preschoolers at all four services. Calvary Kids programs are available for K-5th grade at 8:15a, 9:45a, and 11:15a.

The Easter postcards are ready and available at Guest Services! The cards make handy invitations and reminders for family and friends you're inviting to our church services.

Good Friday
Good Friday is our time to pause and reflect on the incredible sacrifice Jesus made for us. Through song, prayer, and Scripture, we remember together and prepare our hearts for the celebration to come. Services are 4p & 6p. (Infant through preschool childcare available during both services.)

Welcoming Guests for Easter
We expect 9:45a and 11:15a will be our largest services on Easter. Help us make room for visitors, especially in Children's Ministries, by attending the 6:45a sunrise service or 8:15a service. Also, take advantage of extra parking at the T. J. Middle School stadium or at the future Life Change Center across Evans Ave. to give guests a nearby parking spot.

Starting Point for Kids
Starting Point for Kids (for kids ages 8-12) focuses on God's character, salvation, baptism, and following God's plan. This is a terrific course for children interested in being baptized, as well as for those desiring a solid foundation on each week's topic. This 4-week course will meet at 9:45a on Sundays in April. Parents are encouraged to attend with their children. Class space is limited and pre-registration is required.
