Calvary Link: Staying Warm in NWI

calvary-link-headerThere are all kinds of ways for you to stay warm in NWI. Since moving here from Texas as a teenager I've learned that having cozy clothes really helps. But nothing can replace our craving for community. Getting involved in the local church--where you can worship in the warmth of community is the best way to chase away those winter blues. Get into a small group, go to a Women's Bible Study (sorry guys--women only), hang out with some men (sorry women--guys only)--and if you are a senior or a student--there are people for you to connect with, too. (Check out all the opportunities below.)

Of course--don't miss out on Sunday mornings at Calvary at 9a and 10:45a. If you've noticed it has been getting crowded around here--but if you arrive just a few minutes early, finding a seat is not a problem. God is growing us--and let's rejoice. Let's stay warm together in 2013.

For Your Joy,

Lionel

Student Ministries
Every Sunday Night Connect (Grades 6-8) & Reliant (Grades 9-12) Student Ministries (5:30-8p).

We have been talking about Sacrifice and Surrender in Youth Group lately. This Sunday night we are asking the teens to bring something that is valuable and can be reused, something of sentimental value, or simply something that they feel God is asking them to sacrifice or give up. We will collect the items and donate them to charity where appropriate. Tithing and giving should be joyous, and sacrificial too. We hope this object lesson helps teens to remember to sacrifice little things as they continue to surrender all areas of their life.

Connect Middle School Students (Grades 6-8), join us from 6-7:45p TONIGHT, 1.16. We meet every other Wednesday for activities, Bible lesson, and connect time with youth leaders!
