Summer is in full swing: warm weather, fireworks, walking the dog late in the cool of the evening, taking off for a brief vacation. This is why we endure winter! I really wouldn't mind summer lasting longer this year (maybe into November). I've been checking in with Life Groups who are hanging out by the lake, investing in each other's lives, and serving the community this summer. These small groups are how people get connected into our church and experience life change in the context of community.
I realize jumping into a Life Group can be awkward, which is why I'm excited about Summer Life Nights. These five summer night events give people a little taste of what it's like to be in a small group setting. This summer we're looking at a few Psalms to wet people's appetites for discussion and make relationships easy. Come to as many Summer Life Nights as you like for dinner and discussion (childcare provided). Why not start tonight with the event happening at 6p in the Well (sign up here)?
We need each other to help us grow in faith. Don't miss out on the one day a week we all get together for worship. I hope you're planning to be with us this Sunday when Pastor Josh Reasoner is continuing The Way series in Acts.
What's New at Calvary...
Coffee With the Pastors
Visitors to Calvary are invited to meet our pastors and ministry leaders this Sunday 7.10 at South Bend Chocolate Café from 6:30-8p. Ask questions and interact with our staff in a casual café setting, plus get to know others who are new to Calvary.
Starting Point TURBO
Starting Point provides important information for those considering making Calvary their home church as well as those learning what it means to be a faithful Christ-follower. Sign up for the Starting Point TURBO session, which meets Saturday 7.16 from 8:30a-12p in the Well.
Calvary Men's Gathering
The guys are getting together tomorrow evening at Dave Gring's (155 Carrington Circle, Valpo) at 7p. No RSVP necessary. Just show up to catch up with old friends and make some new ones.

Thank you to the many Dive Team volunteers who made this year's Vacation Bible School a thrill-filled success. Kids were running into the building every night excited to get the fun started! You helped to make the gospel a simple and profound delight for our kids. Thanks!

*This year the kids attending VBS challenged one another to bring in money to help Calvary's mission teams run VBS programs for girls in Guatemala.
Job Opening
We are currently taking applications for a MOPPETS childcare worker to care for young children while their moms enjoy the MOPS (Mothers of Preschoolers) program.
