Calvary Link: Thank You for 15 Years!

calvary-link-headerThank you for recognizing me last Sunday on my 15th Anniversary at Calvary Valpo! You caught me by surprise (at least in the first service!) What a journey it has been. I have grown. You have grown. Calvary Church has grown. I wonder what awesome things He has for us next? Let's pray together the words of the Psalmist: "Oh Lord, grant us success" (Ps. 118:25). We want to "succeed" in our ultimate purpose in life--glorifying and enjoy God in all things as we follow Christ with all our might. That was my prayer for me this morning--and my prayer for our church family. May God grant us success in this!

Make sure worshipping is in your fall break plans! After all--God should be worshipped for giving us everything--including fall breaks! I can't wait to get back into the gospel of Mark with you this Sunday. Kurt is getting ready with the best worship team in the region--and I'm getting ready with the best-selling book of all time--the Bible! Sunday we will learn from Mark's gospel why some people grow by leaps and bounds--while others just remain stagnant. If you need some encouragement--you will get it this weekend here at Calvary.

I hope you enjoy God's beauty this fall and give glory and praise to him throughout the day with your lips--and by your life. Persevere on the journey (James 1:2-5). Encourage each other daily (Hebrews 3:13; 10:25). Enjoy HIM in all things (Psalm 37:4).

For Your Joy,

Lionel
