Before leaving for his summer study sabbatical, you probably heard Pastor Lionel mention more than once that he found Jesus to be “the most interesting man in the world”. As we continue our ‘Summer Line-up” of guest speakers this weekend, we have the distinct privilege of hearing from someone I consider to be the “2nd most interesting man in the world”....Dr. Brent Whitefield. I had the great honor of working alongside of “Doc” (as he was affectionately called by our staff) while he served here at Calvary Church. After spending a week with him in Kenya, Africa last year, it was confirmed for me that “Doc” was without a doubt one of the most brilliant, funny, and humble people that I had ever had the privilege of knowing. Nearly every time I was in his presence, I laughed until I had tears in my eyes and learned something new from him that expanded my thinking. For this reason, I hope you’ll invite a friend and join us as Dr. Whitefield brings us a message from God’s Word.
I’d also like to personally invite you to join me in Room #300 at 9:00a on Sunday as I wrap up my teaching series called “Peace” with an interactive lesson on the biblical steps to follow for reconciling a relationship. I’ll be tackling such questions as: How do I confront someone who has sinned against me?; When should I overlook an offense? And how should I respond if someone confronts ME?
As you spend time with your family this Memorial Day weekend remembering those who died to give us our freedom, I hope you’ll also carve out some time Sunday morning to remember the One who set you free.

Children's Ministries
Vacation Bible School volunteer sign-ups will take place on Sunday, 6.3 & 6.10 following each service. Teens and adults are invited to become a part of this exciting week, 7.9-13 from 6-8p. We not only need Teachers, but KidCheck and Admin Support, and Game Time, Snack Time, and Craft Time Leaders as well. Reliant High School Whirlyball is happening this Saturday, 5.26! High Schoolers will meet at Calvary at 3p for an exciting afternoon of Whirlyball. Connect Middle School Rock-On has been rescheduled for the fall. Keep your eyes open for this great event to happen later in the year!

Men's Ministries
Join Calvary elder Dave Gring and the Band of Brothers this Friday, 5.25 for 36 holes of golf at Blackthorn Golf Course in South Bend!
