Calvary Link: The Most Interesting Man in the World

calvary-link-headerNew Series This Sunday!

I can’t wait to talk about “the most interesting man in the world" this Sunday. Ok—that’s not the title to the series, but Jesus really is the most interesting man in the world. We are going to bring you the unedited version of the life of Jesus every week in this brand new, practical, God-breathed, verse-by-verse study of the Gospel of Mark. I can’t think of a better series for you to invite a friend to hear than this one!

We all know that marriages are under assault in our culture today—which is why we are happy to bring you an absolutely FREE marriage conference on the weekend of March 16-17 here at Calvary. This “Get Real” weekend is designed to strengthen marriages—and help those who want to help others strengthen their marriage. I know it will bless you.

Please remember that our service times will be changing in less than two weeks (Sunday, March 4) to 9a and 10:45a. Now that our worship attendances are exceeding 1,000 on Sundays, this will give us more time between services for people to hang out and more time for worshippers to get in and out of our facilities. Thank you for being willing to come to church a little earlier so that we can better serve our growing family.

Check out all the exciting opportunities below. Can’t Wait to See You Sunday—

Lionel

Adult Electives
Pastor Lionel shared in his vision message that we are going to be strengthening our ‘witnessing muscle’ in 2012. "Mission Possible" is a NEW 4-week module beginning Sunday, 3.4 at 9a. This is for anyone investigating, going on, or leading a short term mission project in partnership with Calvary in 2012-13 (domestically or internationally). In this class Pastor Mark Lackey and Bill McClure will cover "best practices" and requirements for spiritual & physical preparation; team life, cultural preparation, finances & faith, debriefing, etc. CLICK HERE for more information on adult electives.

Also, parents/guardians of all children involved in AWANA ministries on Wednesday nights must be picked up and checked out utilizing their guardian receipt. Student Ministries
30 Hour Famine is for Students (6th-12th grade) around the world, loving God and fighting hunger. It’s that simple. Every year, thousands of students unite to do Famine. They go without food for 30 hours. They learn about hunger - and then they do something about it. They raise funds to help feed and care for tens of thousands of kids all over the world. They experience hunger for themselves. Best of all? They help save lives. For more information CLICK HERE. To join in the fight and make a donation, contact Pastor Joe (joe@calvaryweb.net).

Adult Ministries
Please join us for our second annual "Guess Who's Coming to Dinner" Saturday, 3.3 or Friday, 3.9! Over 40 people participated last year; each one said they would do it again and would encourage others to get involved. This is an amazing opportunity to connect with people at Calvary! Pick up an information packet at the Info Desk for additional details. Return the sign-up form by this Sunday, 2.26.
