The worship band of Calvary Church, Calvary Live, will release a full-length album, “Who You Are,” on Sunday, June 19, at the church’s annual Father’s Day in the Park event.
“Father’s Day in the Park is a fun event where our whole church plus guests and visitors get together in Central Park in downtown Valpo,” said Kurt Felsman, director of worship. “We’re excited to add the album release to what is already a great day our church looks forward to.”
“Who You Are” is the second live album from Calvary Live following “Mighty Fortress” in 2012. The album is a mix of original compositions and covers of popular worship songs. Felsman said Calvary has been gifted with talented people who can write music and express worship. “We want to bless our church, and we hope God can use these songs to bless other churches too,” he said.
The 10-track “Who You Are” album releases worldwide through all major online retailers on Tuesday, June 21. CDs will be available for the early release on Father’s Day.
Calvary Church’s Father’s Day in the Park event begins with a worship service at 11 a.m. that features Calvary Live and senior pastor Lionel Young. Food trucks and local vendor carts serve lunch and treats. A classic car exhibition goes on until 2 p.m. The event is open to the public. People are encouraged to bring a blanket or chairs.
