Several dozen career and technical programs are available for students in Porter County high schools, along with Hobart High School.
Whether a student wants to study Educational and Early Childhood Services, Modern Machining, Dental Health, or Horticulture, there are many opportunities available in these and other classes. The newest offering is Fundamentals of Sports Medicine at Hobart High School, which started in 2011/2012.
The last set of open houses will take place on Wednesday, Feb. 8, 2012, starting at 8 a.m., 1 p.m. and/or 6:30 p.m. at different locations. Programs are housed at a variety of sites, ranging from the Porter County Career and Technical Center to Portage High School to Morgan Township High School. Most programs have a daytime open house plus an evening one.
