CASS is an anti-bullying program in the Valparaiso schools that promotes positive peer interaction and bystander leadership. On Tuesday, February 23, The fifth grade students of Mary Ann Colter at Hayes Leonard Elementary School will be partnering with 8th grade CASS mentors from Benjamin Franklin Middle School, in discussing various issues, from friendship and bullying to dealing with negative peer interactions and strategies to encourage positive peer interaction.

This is the first CASS session for Hayes Leonard, joining Memorial, Central, and Northview Elementary schools. Many of the mentors from Benjamin Franklin Middle School are former Hayes Leonard students, making this event even more special.
