Celebrating a Lifetime of Faithful Service

Poor Handmaids of Jesus Christ Honor 2025 Jubilarians

In this Jubilee Year of 2025, a sacred time of grace and spiritual renewal in the Catholic Church, the Poor Handmaids of Jesus Christ joyfully honor eight dedicated women religious who celebrate milestone anniversaries of vowed religious life. These Sisters have served faithfully for 50 to 75 years, and each one has profoundly impacted lives through education, healthcare, ministry, and community service.

This year’s celebration coincides with the universal Church’s Jubilee Year, declared by Pope Francis as a time for being “Pilgrims of Hope.” In this spirit, we reflect with gratitude on the lives of these Sisters who have embodied hope and service for decades, living out the mission of our foundress, Saint Katharina Kasper, who once said:

“Let us do good while we still have time.”

A community Jubilee Mass and celebration will be held at the PHJC Motherhouse in Donaldson, Indiana later this year. The Poor Handmaids, together with friends, family, and ministry partners, will lift up the lives of these women who have answered God’s call with courage and love.
