CENTIER BANK WELCOMES DAKITA L. JONES AS ASSISTANT VICE PRESIDENT OF COMMUNITY RELATIONS

Michael E. Schrage, Chairman and CEO of Centier Bank, is pleased to announce the recent appointment of Dakita L. Jones as Assistant Vice President and manager of the bank’s Community Relations division.

Jones joined Centier Bank in 2003, beginning as a teller and being promoted to assistant branch manager in 2004. Jones was named Branch Manager at Centier Bank’s Midtown Gary branch in 2008 and transferred to Downtown Gary in 2015.

She has 20 years of experience in business development, as well as in leadership roles while serving various communities through fundraising and philanthropy and serving on boards of directors for several organizations. She is an alumnus of Purdue University, with bachelor’s degrees in organizational leadership supervision and information technology, as well as a Master of Science in Business Management from Indiana Wesleyan University.

“I want to empower my colleagues to perpetuate our Servant Heart Culture at Centier,” Jones explained. “I am excited to impact and enrich every community in which we serve across our footprint through philanthropic giving, volunteerism, and financial education. I love that my role allows me to connect to a purpose built upon passion and perpetuity, connecting the heart of Centier to the hearts of others.”

Anthony Contrucci, Senior Vice President of Community Relations at Centier Bank, said he looks forward to seeing Jones expand Centier’s community engagement efforts and continue to develop Centier’s philanthropic impact across Indiana communities.

Jones serves as a board member for the Fuller Center for Housing Gary chapter, the WDS group in Merrillville, and serves as a volunteer for Junior Achievement of Northwest IndianaMoney Smart Financial Literacy Facilitator in Northwest Indiana. She resides in Chesterton with her family.
