Century 21 Alliance Group Hosts Annual Group Awards

Century 21 Alliance Group of Valparaiso hosted its annual Group Awards Wednesday night to celebrate another successful year for the brokerage firm and its hardworking agents and staff.

The event was held in the upstairs banquet room of the Paréa restaurant in Valparaiso. The evening featured a delicious buffet and an open bar as a token of appreciation for the staff’s hard work. That was followed by an awards ceremony to recognize the agents and office staff who went above and beyond this past year.

“Every year all of the franchises of Century 21 Alliance are recognized for exemplary service and production during the previous year,” said Jeanne Sommer, founder of Century 21 Alliance Group of Valparaiso. “Tonight some of our agents and office staff are being awarded for their hard work, so really this event is to say thank you to our employees for truly going above and beyond this past year.”

Jeanne and Nick Sommer founded Century 21 Alliance Group of Valparaiso in 2001 and have since become the premier brokerage firm for commercial and residential listings. The firm employs around 40 agents and seven office staff members and sells homes and commercial buildings all around Northwest Indiana.

“Everyone works hard all year long, so it’s really important to be recognized for that hard work,” said Kathy Bowgren, office manager for Century 21. “I’m really proud of everyone.”

That hard work has paid off. Century 21 Alliance Group has won countless awards throughout the years, but this past year is something to be proud of and has not gone unnoticed by members of the corporate offices. For the first time, Kyler Welch, brand ambassador for Indiana and Ohio, attended the event to meet everyone in person, hand out awards and thank everyone for their service.

“I work closely with the owners, Nick and Jeanne, so when they told me they were having their awards ceremony, it wasn’t a hard decision to make,” Welch said. “The agents and staff here are the face of the company and are so involved in the community, so it’s important to recognize that.”

And just like every other year, the company was recognized for their dedication and service. The entire firm was awarded the President’s Office Award, the Centurion Award, and to everyone’s excitement, the Ambassador’s Award.

“This award recognizes companies with both high production and outstanding service,” Sommer said. “Only 11 out of 6,950 firms were honored with the Ambassador’s Award in the United States, so we’re extremely proud of this award and of our team.”

Along with the group awards, individual awards were given out to several agents and office staff members for their quality service and production. Roxanne Chayhitz, associate broker, was awarded both the Ruby Award and the Quality Service Award for her hard work, which is especially significant to the agent whose career is still young.

“For being such a new agent, this means so much,” Chayhitz said. “To be only two years into this career, it’s so exciting to know that I’ve accomplished what people work 20 years for.”

The team at Century 21 Alliance Group of Valparaiso have much to be proud of. Between their individual awards and the company’s recognition, Century 21 Alliance proved that its agents and staff are strive not only for quality, but for excellence.
