Challenges of Parenting Adolescents

family-youth-services-bureau-logoThe Family & Youth Services Bureau presents a Family Life Workshop titled “Challenges of Parenting Adolescents,” held on Thursday, November 15, 6 to 7 pm, at the Family & Youth Services Bureau’s downtown Valparaiso office at 253 W. Lincolnway.

Offered to parents, teachers and social services professionals, the workshop will give attendees the opportunity to discover positive parenting techniques; to learn how the adolescent brain affects decision making; to develop effective ways of relating to teens; and to learn the value of limit setting.

The workshop is led by FYSB counselors Dan Rau, BSW, LSW who has worked with teens and parents for over 16 years, and Jessica Redmon, BS who has worked with at-risk teens for 10 years.
