Chamber Seeking Stories of Innovation

duneland-chamberFor the next issue of Duneland Today Magazine, the Duneland Chamber of Commerce is seeking stories of game-changing innovation among its membership. The entire issue, which will be delivered to more than 12,000 homes and businesses the first week of March in 2013, will be dedicated to featuring the most extraordinary stories of innovation in Duneland.

“Innovation can take many forms,” says Heather Ennis, the Chamber’s Executive Director. “Many people think of technology when they hear the word innovation, and often that’s where the most visible change takes place. But innovation can also refer to how you manage your staff, develop your board or volunteer base, manage your merchandising, communicate your message or choose who your customers are going to be. In this climate of globalization, we all need to be pushing the envelope to create competitive advantage in every aspect of our organizations. We’re looking for a broad array of innovative practices, and will feature the most powerful story on the cover of the magazine in March.”

Members of the Duneland Chamber of Commerce who wish to share how their organizations are pushing the envelope are encouraged to write a brief synopsis (approximately 200 words) of their innovations for submission to info@chestertonchamber.org. Photographs illustrating innovative practices are encouraged. While the most intriguing stories of innovation will be featured in the magazine, all submissions will be published on a special “Duneland’s Innovators” section of the Duneland Chamber of Commerce’s website ().

Stories are due by Friday, December 21. For more information, please contact the Duneland Chamber of Commerce at (219) 926-5513, or email info@chestertonchamber.org.
