Changes in Transit Routes Due to Fourth of July Parade

Due to Michigan City’s 64th Patriotic Parade on Saturday, June 29, 2019, some Michigan City Transit routes will be interrupted.

Starting at 8:30 a.m., service will be interrupted along
Washington Street and Franklin Street, with Washington St. being closed from US HWY 12 to 9th Street.

Franklin Street will be closed from 4th Street to Ames Field.

During parade hours:
 

Route #1: South bound – 4th St. to Wabash Street to Coolspring Avenue to Franklin Street.  North bound travel will be reversed.

Route #2: South bound – 4th Street to Wabash Street to US HWY 12 to Pine Street to Detroit Street.  No change in north bound route.

Route #3: East bound to Michigan Boulevard to 4th Street,
Wabash Street to US HWY 12 to Pine Street to 5th Street to Michigan Boulevard., revers travel Michigan Boulevard to US HWY 12 to Wabash Street to Coolspring Avenue to Franklin Street.  North bound travel reversed
Wabash Street to US Hwy 12 to Pine Street to 4th Street.

Route #4: West bound - 4th Street to Wabash Street to 10th Street.  Reverse travel Wabash Street to US Hwy 12 to Pine Street to 4th Street.

Passenger pick-ups will be flag stops (raise your hand as the bus is approaches) along the alternate routes. No pick up on US HWY 12.
