Chicago Blackhawks Win the 2010 Lord Stanley’s Cup

Congratulations to the Chicago Blackhawks, who yesterday defeated the Philadelphia Flyers in overtime to win the Stanley Cup Final series 4-2, securing the franchise’s first championship in 49 years!

After the Flyers scored late in the third period, Patrick Kane scored in overtime to clinch the series for the Blackhawks. The goal squeaked by the Philadelphia goalie and didn't set off the siren that usually sounds after a goal. The chaos with many of the players and those in attendance unsure of the outcome, with the exception of Kane who immediately began celebrating. Video of the final goal can be found below. Jonathan Toews was named Playoff MVP after the game.
