We are thrilled to share the Great News that Chicago Street Theatre will be premiering the cult-classic, Heathers the Musical to reopen our theatre. This production is a hilarious, heartfelt, and homicidal new musical based on the greatest teen comedy of all time.
Heathers The Musical is the darkly delicious story of Veronica Sawyer, a brainy, beautiful teenage misfit who hustles her way into the most powerful and ruthless clique at Westerberg High: the Heathers. But before she can get comfortable atop the high school food chain, Veronica falls in love with the dangerously sexy new kid J.D. When Heather Chandler, the Almighty, kicks her out of the group, Veronica decides to bite the bullet and kiss Heather’s aerobicized a**…but J.D. has another plan for that bullet.
With your health and safety as our first concern, Chicago Street Theatre is diligently adapting to our “new normal”. We will be implementing new sanitary standards in compliance with CDC guidelines to ensure the safety of our community. Seating for Heathers will be limited, and we will only be offering general admission.
Director Mike Glorioso (previously directing Evil Dead the Musical and Toxic Avenger at Chicago Street Theatre) is also taking necessary precautions to keep his production team in good health. "The entire cast and crew of Heaters is excited to bring much needed entertainment back to Northwest Indiana but we want to make sure we are doing it safely. We have been taking extra precautions during our rehearsal process to keep everyone safe and will continue to do as we process thought Governor Holcomb's steps to reopen Indiana."
