CHS National Honor Society Inducts 88 Students

Chesterton-TrojansThe Chesterton High School Chapter of National Honor Society welcomed four seniors and 84 juniors into membership during the 65th annual induction ceremonies on Wednesday, April 4, 2012 at 7 p.m. at the Chesterton High School Auditorium.

Opening remarks were made by Principal Jim Goetz and followed by the induction ceremony. The ceremony highlighted the cardinal principles of the National Honor Society- scholarship, leadership, service and character. Each new member was individually recognized and presented with a membership certificate by Goetz. The NHS advisor is CHS science teacher Jack Neuliep.

The four seniors are Emily DeLache, Cassidy Peretin, Trent Screiber, and Kathleen Sheeran. All students invited to become members of National Honor Society have passed through a rigorous selection process that examines the areas of scholarship, leadership, service and character. National Honor Society was created by and is under the direction of the National Association of Secondary School Principals.
