Thirteen Community Members Graduate from CPA
Last night 13 community members graduated from this year’s Citizens’ Police Academy. Chief Brickner congratulated each participant of the program and thanked them for their commitment to the nine week course during the graduation ceremony.
The participants of the program learned of each department within the police department, participated in mock traffic stops, volunteered to be exposed to a taser, assisted with gathering evidence at a mock crime scene and participated in a ride along program with officers.
The Citizen’s Police Academy is held once a year at the Valparaiso Police Department. Additional information regarding the program is available on the department’s website at www.valparaisopolice.org.
