Coinstar Giant to Speak at Eday Awards Luncheon

EDAY_LOGOAutomated retail giant Coinstar, Inc., the creator of both redbox DVD rental and Coinstar coin-counting kiosks, brings Chief Performance Officer Mary Leonard to present as this year’s keynote speaker at the 20th annual E-Day Awards Luncheon.

The Northwest Indiana Small Business Development Center’s E-Day honors region entrepreneurs and small business leaders and is an opportunity to celebrate the entrepreneurial spirit. The 2011 award winners will be recognized at the luncheon from 11:30 a.m. to 1:15 p.m. Nov. 17 at the Radisson Star Plaza in Merrillville.

The list of awardees includes: Steve Arndt, Above the Tracks LTD; John Barney, Barney Enterprises; Gregg Holley, Citizens Financial Bank; Pat and Linda Holmes, Pediatric, Infant & Family Home Health Care Services; George S. Kucka, Fairmeadows Home Health Center, Inc.; Chris Mahlmann, ValpoLife and PortageLife; Kurt Minko, Retro-Tech Systems, Inc.; Daniel and Laurie Rohder, Rohder Machine and Tool, Inc.; Frank Szczepanski, IV Diagnostics; Rich Thiel, Midwest PGM; and Theresa Valade, Success Trek. This annual luncheon is attended by more than 500 business leaders in NWI.

In honor of this special anniversary, the SBDC will offer educational seminars before and after the awards luncheon for owners and high-potential talent. This Leadership Symposium will be from 7:30a.m. to 3:30 p.m. and will close with a cocktail networking reception from 3:30 p.m. to 5 p.m. Attendees can choose to attend the Symposium, Awards Luncheon and the cocktail reception, or just the Awards Luncheon. Tickets range from $40 for the luncheon to $140 for a full-day pass.
