Colon cancer is the nation’s second-leading cause of cancer death. Beginning at age 50, men and women at average risk for developing colorectal cancer should be screened. Persons with a family history of colon cancer or other risk factors should discuss the appropriate age to begin screenings with a physician.

Early detection is known to save lives.
