Come to the Transition Fair!

Transition-Fair-2013Everyone is transitioning to something. This is your chance to connect with people and agencies who can help your family take the next step – whatever that means to YOUR family. ALL AGES will have something for them to learn about.

Who: Parents of students with disabilities- Elementary, Middle, and High School
When: Thursday, November 14, 5:00-7:30 pm
Where: VHS Cafeteria

Whether your child is in Elementary, Middle or High School, He/She is getting ready for a transition. What is out there for your child?  Who is there to assist you? What activities are there?

Agencies will share info and we will provide supervised child care with activities, movie, and crafts in a nearby room to parents. Snacks and beverages will be served. There will be giveaways.

BDDS, Vocational Rehabilitation, Opportunity Enterprises, Parks Department, Helping Hands (Respite Care), Chasing Dreams, Arc-BRIDGES, Center for Possibilities, TradeWinds, In-Pact, Innovations in Learning, Club Wonder, Challenger Baseball League, Special Olympics, NWI Down Syndrome Association, Family Voices, ARC of Indiana, Exceptional Equestrians, Reins of Life, Accessibilities, Behavioral Specialists of Indiana, Social Security, Medicaid Office, Anthomy Wayne Services, Dungarvin, Everybody Counts, Goodwill, Globestar, In-Source, IUN,  Ivy Tech, Purdue University , Marshall Starke, Michiana Resources, Porter County Sib Shops, Powerful Parents and Consumers Group, Shepherds College, Spectrum Community Services, Porter Starke.                                      

This is a need for all families. Come and learn and plan together. It takes a village- let's all be there for each other.
