Women can gain new confidence through custom fitted intimate apparel and swimwear from Isabella Boutique. For those who have recently experienced a mastectomy, for women who are facing the surgery, or for those who just want to feel and look better in their clothes, Isabella Boutique has something for all. “We’re not old lady bras,” stated Christine Hall, one of the Certified Fitters and Consultants at the boutique.
“We carry a line of very fashionable pieces,” commented Leslee Davis, another Fitter and Consultant at the boutique, “We have really cute styles from pink and red satins to animal print.” With the majority of clients facing an altered body experience, having access to trendy intimate apparel can help boost spirits. “Much of the post-mastectomy apparel is white or beige…it doesn’t have to be that way.”
Along with styles that appeal to any age, the boutique offers several lines of innovative breast forms for post-mastectomy patients, from Amoena and Trulife, including the BodiCool WAVE form, whose advanced design promotes air circulation, keeping one cool and comfortable all day long. The forms also fit into a new line of camisoles and t-shirts, equipped with built-in pockets to hold the prosthetics.
“Come see us before you go in surgery,” encourages Leslee, as the boutique has a line of post-surgical garments, pieces that will keep the patient comfortable immediately after surgery. “A lot of people don’t realize insurance will pay for it,” Leslee commented. Medicare and insurance will cover these pieces for mastectomy patients, and Isabella Boutique takes care of billing them.
For women not facing a mastectomy, they can still find the perfect fitting piece at Isabella Boutique. “We see people hard to fit as well as cancer patients,” stated Christine, “We offer bras up to J cup.” Bikinis or one-piece bathing suits are also available for custom fitting. “We have a brand new line coming in February but are taking orders now,” Christine mentioned, for those wanting to get a jump on next season swimwear.
“We enjoy it, love working with customers,” enthused Leslee. Both Leslee and Christine, along with another Fitter Diana Kuehl, have gone through 500 hours of training and testing to become certified, and the boutique is accredited, so women can feel confident they will receive exceptional help in looking their best, which is the ultimate goal at Isabella Boutique. “I love hearing the ladies say, ‘I didn’t know how good I can feel,’” smiles Leslee, “It makes your day.”
Isabella Boutique is a division of Gil Drugs and located in downtown Valparaiso, across from the Porter County Courthouse. Fitting hours are Monday through Friday, 9 am to 5:30 pm and Saturday by appointment only, but appointments are strongly recommended throughout the week as well.
