Crossroads Regional Chamber of Commerce Presents: The Hometown Festival Days!

Crossroads-Hometown-Festival-Days-1During the month of June, Hometown Festival Days will once again attract over 10,000 people to downtown Crown Point, Indiana. This year, Festival Days will kick-off on Friday, June 15th and Saturday, June 16th with the newly expanded Corn Roast. Hours are Friday 4-11pm and Saturday Noon-11pm. This long standing, popular street celebration will include live musical entertainment, a larger children’s play area and plenty of delicious food and beverages along with the famous Shriner’s roasted corn.

Monday, June 18th the much loved Hub Dollie Parade will take place at 11:00am starting at the bottom of the East steps of the Old Lake County Courthouse. Children are invited to bring their best dressed dolls and carriages for a fun parade around the Courthouse.

Crossroads-Hometown-Festival-Days-2The next weekend, Friday June 22nd through Sunday, June 24th is our Taste of the Region and Arts & Crafts Festival, which are being combined this year and greatly expanded. Friday & Saturday hours are 11am-10pm and Sunday hours are11am- 6pm. The entire Crown Point square will be closed down to make room for over forty-five restaurants and food vendors and over eighty Arts & Crafts exhibitors. Also, on Friday, June 22nd the traditional Marriage Mill Celebration will take place. One lucky couple will have the opportunity to get married that evening on the Old Courthouse steps while other couples can join together to renew their marriage vows following the ceremony.
