The City of Crown Point Fourth of July Celebration will be Friday, July 4. The parade will begin at 11 a.m. Friday, July 4, on Main Street at Crown Point High School and end at the Tank on Goldsborough Street.
Staging for the parade will begin at 8:30 a.m. Parade participants will stage at Crown Point High
School. Emergency vehicles will line up along South Main Street between Burrell Drive and Cleveland
Street.
Ricky “Willy” Chandler will lead this year’s parade as grand marshal. Chandler, known for his
fireworks company, Willy’s Works, is a south Lake County staple when it comes to celebrating the
Fourth of July. His fireworks have lit up the sky in Lake County for years. Every year, Chandler hosts a
free fireworks show at the end of June to give back to the community.
This year’s fireworks show, presented by Mad Bomber Fireworks Productions, will begin at dusk,
approximately 9 p.m., at the Lake County Fairgrounds, 889 S. Court St.
Food vendors will be set up near the Grandstand beginning at 5 p.m. This year’s vendors include
Izzy’s Daddy’s Pizza; Kona Ice of the Dunes; MamaFrazz; Tacos Chel; and Twisted Sugar.
“We always attended the Fourth of July Parade when I was a kid. Attending the parade is something I
look forward to every year, and I am excited to see everyone out this year for a great Fourth of July
celebration,” Mayor Pete Land said.
Parade applications are currently open and close Friday, June 27, 2025. The City of Crown Point invites the community to vote for their favorite Fourth of July Parade entry by visiting www.crownpoint.in.gov. Winners will be announced during the August City Council meeting.
