Crusaders Begin Outdoor Season in Florida

VU-Crusaders-Begin-Outdoor-Season-in-FloridaThe Valparaiso women’s track and field team opened their outdoor season on Friday at the USF Invitational in Tampa, Fla.

Senior Jazmin Taylor (Rock Island, Ill./Rock Island) finished second in the high jump with her leap of 1.64m/5-4.5.

Freshman Hannah Reynard (Jackson, Mich./Napoleon) finished fifth in the 400 meter hurdles with the fourth fastest time in school history (1:05.57).

Laura Lacquement (Martensdale, Iowa/Martensdale Saint Mary's) set personal bests in the 100m (13.42) and 200m (27.30).

Asia Banks (Richton Park, Ill./Marian Catholic) also set personal bests in the 200m (28.32) and 100m (13.67).

Ann Chapman (Washington, Ill./Washington Community) finished 11th in the triple jump with her mark 9.92m/32-6.50.

The Crusaders return to the track on April 21 for the Bulldog Opener at Butler University.
