rot2Since opening the doors of the first restaurant in 1984, Culver’s® has been committed to being an active member in its local community. On May 27,2017, Culver’s of Valparaiso, 2101 LaPorte Ave. will carry on that tradition by donating a portion of their sales to raise funds for The Valparaiso K-9 Unit. The Valparaiso Police Department currently utilizes four K-9 teams. All dogs are trained in narcotic detection, tracking, evidence location, handler protection, and suspect apprehension.

"We’re proud to call Valparaiso home and doing our part to help just feels right," said Wendy Gates. "We strive to make a difference in the community we share with so many others, and working with The Valparaiso K-9 Unit allows us to help support individuals and families in our area."

Culver’s support of The Valparaiso K-9 Unit is just part of their dedication to giving back to the community. From Culver’s founders to each locally owned and operated restaurant, each franchise partner and team member understands the importance of serving those in need.
