Dan Navarro Performs at Chicago Street Theatre This Sunday

Dan-NavarroChicago Street Theatre is bringing back the One Night Jam concert series, beginning Sunday, April 15, 2012 at 7 pm.

As half of the legendary duo Lowen & Navarro, Dan was not only part of our very first ONJ back in 2000, but has been involved with amazing music and amusing hijinx on our stage more than any other artist (remember the blue dress and feather boa?).

After Eric Lowen's ALS forced him to retire from music in 2009, Dan continued on as a solo artist, not only paying tribute to the wonderful songs he and Eric wrote over the years, but also bringing his formidable abilities to bear on a new crop of Dan Navarro songs.

As One Night Jam returns to our main stage, we thought it only fitting that Dan be the artist to usher it back in. ONJ has always been about respect for the artist, respect for the music. Join us for an intimate evening with one of our favorite musicians.

As a special "Thank You" for joining us for our "second first show", everyone has the opportunity to receive a professionally-shot 8x10 photo of you and Dan emailed to you after the concert, free of charge.

The first One Night Jam series ran from 2000-2007. It brought such diverse talent to CST as Lowen & Navarro, Grammy-winning country songwriter Gretchen Peters, Grammy-winning rocker Jim Peterik, Kasim Sulton, powerful Chicago singer/songwriter Michael McDermott, blues artist Lou Sampou, Chicago legend Cathy Richardson, and folk legend David Mallet.

The new era of ONJ will bring back some of those artists, and, with the opening of the new Edith Wood studio theatre upstairs, we can now offer the "Edie's Attic" series - smaller, though no less talented, artists in more of a "house concert" setting.

We're pretty excited about the possibilities, and we hope you will trust us to only book the finest singer/songwriters available.
