Design a Caramel Apple, Raise Money for CURED

County Line Orchard has teamed up with the Campaign Urging Research for Eosinophilic Disease (CURED) in an effort to raise awareness and funds for the campaign.

On Saturday, October 17th from 7am until 5pm, you can go to County Line Orchard and design your own caramel apple for $5, 100% of which will be donated to CURED. All donations can be made out to the CURED Foundation, where 100% of funds go to research. To date, the organization has raised $1.6 million in donations.

Eosinophilic Esophagitis (EE) is an inflammation (swelling) of the esophagus caused by allergy cells called eosinophils. In EE the entire length of the esophagus can become filled with eosinophils. This can lead to trouble swallowing, abdominal pain, vomiting, and an inability to eat enough food to grow properly. Due to lack of nourishment caused from multiple food allergies or intolerance to so many foods, some children must rely on a simplified liquid formula or a feeding tube for their nutrition on a daily basis.
