Duneland Boys & Girls Club Receives Outstanding Volunteer Service Award

2011-Appreciation-Award-Outstanding-Volunteer-Service-Susan-GleasonThe Duneland Boys & Girls Club recently received a 2011 Appreciation Award for Outstanding Volunteer Service from the Tobacco Education and Prevention Coalition of Porter County.

In addition to participating in the nationwide Kickbutts Day, the club's Torch Club Members also participated in a Chesterton Town Council Meeting to express their agreement with the proposed smoking ban in Chesterton. Torch Club Members continue to work toward their goal of defending children against unnecessary second hand smoke exposure. Torch Club Members learn to enrich their lives and the lives of others through service, leadership and by demonstrating good character.
