Early Registration Discount by May 31st for PNW’s Commercialization and Manufacturing Excellence Center Small Business Innovation Research Workshop June 13th

Purdue-Northwest-colorCurrent or emerging small business owners can learn how to obtain seed money for their business by attending the Small Business Innovation Research Workshop hosted by Purdue University Northwest’s Commercialization and Manufacturing Excellence Center Tuesday, June 13.

The workshop is intended for any small business owner or principal investigator who seeks funding for research and development.

Half day program The half day workshop is scheduled from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. A discounted registration fee of $99 is being charged through May 31; the fee increases to $119 June 1. Register on line at www.pnw.edu/seed-money.

The workshop will offer insight into Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) and Small Business Technology Transfer (STTR) programs, which provide more than $2.6 billion to small companies annually.

Information for making decisions Attendees will obtain information about eligibility, sources of funding and tools for proposal development. Throughout the morning, participants also will gain understanding to determine if they should pursue a grant or contract proposal.

Additionally, one-on-one consultations will be available by appointment for $39 per quarter hour following the workshop between 1:15 p.m. and 4 p.m.
