Earth Day is not just a day in the spring for St. Paul Catholic School's kindergarten class! The class recently invited Mr. Abe from the Recycling and Waste Reduction District of Porter County to come and speak to them about taking care of the earth. The students acted out the story The Lorax and discussed the importance of taking care of trees. They then found ways that they could take care of the earth such as recycling. "I liked being in the play! It was fun to be the Lorax." said Dominic Muryasz. "We learned that trees are important and we need them. They give us oxygen!" said Lily Bardoczi. The children concluded that taking care of the earth is something that everyone can do!
