No New Year’s Eve (or St. Patrick's Day!) is complete without a special drink and this year, I embraced my Irish heritage and went with a 7 and 7. Now, you may be asking, “What’s so Irish about a 7 and 7?” I abandoned the traditional use of Seagram’s Seven Crown in the drink and substituted Jameson Irish Whiskey, from Ribordy Liquors.
Jameson goes down smooth and mixed with a lemon-lime soda, makes for an invigorating drink that doesn’t weigh you down. Some even say it tastes like a green apple. For me, Jameson is a win because, unlike other liquors, it doesn’t leave you feeling sloppy. However, drinking the whiskey straight up will put hair on your chest!
