Empower Yourself: Learn More About Youth Dating Violence Prevention

The-Amanda-ProjectThe Amanda Forum presents the first annual Youth Dating Violence Prevention Conference January 29-31, 2014 at Aberdeen Manor, Valparaiso. Kelley Hampton, Christina-Marie Santillan and Dr. Malcom Astley are the featured speakers for the workshop, offering valuable education to all types of community members.

What is The Amanda Forum?

After receiving a $50,000 grant from The Women's Impact Fund of Porter County earlier this year, we have been hard at work developing an impactful program called "The Amanda Forum". This project is a sustainable program to raise awareness of youth dating violence prevention in our community through education, discussion and mentoring. The focus will be on developing pro-social relationship skills and resilience. The Amanda Forum was named in honor of Amanda Bach, who lost her life to teen dating violence in Porter County in 2011.
