The Valparaiso Firefighters L1124 are participating in the nationwide fundraiser with Baskin-Robbins for the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation. It is an event called "31 cent Scoop Night" where each scoop of ice cream costs just 31 cents. It is a family oriented event where families can visit with the firefighters, look at the fire trucks, enjoy some great-tasting ice cream, and benefit the NFFF. 31 cent Scoop Night takes place at various participating Baskin-Robbins location throughout the U.S. Thankfully, you can go to both Valparaiso locations (1651 Morthland Dr. AND 3310 Calumet Ave.). Firefighters will be there scooping ice cream from 5pm - 10pm on Wednesday April 27th, 2011. What more of a reason do you need to enjoy some ice cream?!
