Thirty degree weather does not stop some of Valpo’s finest athletes from going on a 3-mile fun run. Extra Mile Fitness Company held its Saucony Triumph Launch Party on the evening of Wednesday, November 12.
The event celebrated the launch of Saucony’s new shoe, the Triumph with ISO cushion. The cushioning of the shoe truly is a unique factor—contributing to the shoe’s ‘wow’ factor! Not only were there Saucony representatives in the store to answer any questions and assist with fitting, but runners also had the chance to test out the shoes during a three-mile run.
Bailey Henderlong, cashier at Extra Mile, said “Events like this are always really busy, but it’s always really nice to see people in the community come together and pursue something they’re passionate about.”
After the run, participants got the chance to relax over some wine, cheese, chocolate and fruit. Additionally, local vendors such as Lia Sophia, Thirtyone, Pampered Chef, Tupperware, Norwex and Rodan+Fields got the chance to set up booth in store, providing customers with a chance to get a head start on holiday shopping. Door prizes were given to all of the participants. The prizes included headbands and sunglasses sponsored by Saucony.
Heather Henderlong, owner of Extra Mile Fitness Company, said, “That’s how we make a local running store fun. We tie in with both national and local vendors to really make events like this special.”
Extra Mile Fitness once again did a stellar job mixing the promotion of a new product with pleasure. For more information and details about the Saucony Triumph, visit Extra Mile Fitness, located at 1330 E Lincolnway.
