Law Enforcement Officers throughout Porter County, including Valparaiso Police, will be working extra patrols during the July 4thand the weekend following it. Officers will be searching for aggressive driving, speeding motorists, seat belt violations and intoxicated drivers.
Motorists are encouraged to report impaired drivers from their cellular phones when the observed erratic driving.
The extra patrols are being funded through the Porter County Drunk Driving Task Force and the Governors Council for Impaired and Dangerous Driving.
