Families Brave the Cold at Spring Out to Sunset

When families come together for a day of outside activity and fun, they can't be stopped, not by the threat of rain, frigid temperatures or bitter wind. This year, at the annual Spring out to Sunset event, families joined in to celebrate the outdoors at Sunset Hill Farm county park. With everything from moon bounces to kite flying to dog shows, there was a lot to do and something for everyone, as well as food vendors and health and wellness vendors.

"This is a family event for everyone, including your pets to get people outside and active. It used to be called 'Kites and Canines', so we've kept that theme," said Amy Hartz, the event coordinator for Parks and Recreation.

"Use your parks," she said, "They're free, and they allow you to get outside and stay active."
