Tonight at 6pm is the first Protein-Palooza at the Midwest Bariatric Institute! We are having a protein shake contest and sampling for our bariatric patients. We hold two support groups each month that aim to provide additional education and support to patients.
Since bariatric patients are required to drink protein shakes before and after surgery, we thought it would be a great idea to contact various protein vendors and have a mass sampling. Patients will be competing against each other to create the best protein shake. They will be graded on taste, nutrition content and creativity. Over a dozen companies have donated samples for us to try. It is going to be a very exciting event!
The event takes place 6pm at Franciscan St Margaret Health-Dyer, US 30 and Hart Street in the Reginald Boardroom.
