First “Think Pink Thursdays” A Huge Success

By: Porter Regional Hospital Last Updated: June 25, 2013

Think-PinkPorter's first "Think Pink Thursdays" Mammos and More event on June 13 at the Center for Women's Health was an overwhelming success.

Here are just a few of the comments received from associates who participated that evening:

"How awesome! What a wonderful idea. I was pampered and enjoyed every moment. Thanks so much."

"Last night's event was wonderful. Who would have thought a mammogram would be such a nice experience. I had a manicure, paraffin wax, hand massage and bone density - and of course my mammogram."

The next "Think Pink Thursdays" Mammos and More Event will take place on Thursday, July 11.

Again to participate, you must:

  • Be a Porter female associate age 40 or older and know the date of your last mammogram. (Your insurance will be charged and insurance only covers one mammogram per year.)
  • Pre-register by calling ext. 8392 and indicate that you are an associate wanting to schedule your mammogram during "Think Pink Thursdays" event. (To alleviate long wait times, registration will give you a general time period to arrive, although all services will be based on a first-come, first-served basis.)

If you have any questions, please contact Laurie Wehner-Evans, director of Community and Corporate Wellness, at 263-4644. Or to pre-register, call ext. 8392.
