First Trust is excited to provide the safest and most convenient services for all our members in every way possible, therefore First Trust is NOW PROVIDING the convenient service, DEBIT CARD LOCK, for all our members through our FREE MOBILE APP. Just download the First Trust Credit Union mobile app and you will automatically have access to deactivate (LOCK), and then reactivate (UNLOCK) your debit card anytime, anywhere. If you think your debit card has been lost, just LOCK it! If you find your debit card, just UNLOCK it and it’s ready to go again. If you think your debit card has been stolen, you have the ability to LOCK it right away to avoid fraudulent charges/purchases on your account – Now that’s what we call great service that keeps our members’ accounts safe and secure! You can continue to count on First Trust Credit Union, your Hometown Credit Union, to provide all your financial needs. (See below for directions on how to access Debit Card Lock.)

Directions to access the Debit Card Lock feature through the First Trust Mobile app:

Open your First Trust mobile app, click on MORE, click on Manage My Cards, (you will see an introductory screen introducing the Debit Card Lock feature the first time you access Manage My Cards), on this screen you should see a listing of all your currently active debit cards. Click on the debit card you want to access. You can then choose to “temporarily lock this card”. (Follow these same steps to unlock your debit card.)
