Flint Lake 2nd Graders Celebrate Winter Fest

The second graders at Flint Lake Elementary had a special Winter Festival on February 5th. During their festival, students engaged in various craft and educational activities related to winter and Valentine’s Day. They listened to several different versions of the story Stone Soup and helped make soup for all 107 second graders to enjoy. There was enough left over for many others to enjoy. Another station during the festival was a Groundhog web quest. Students worked together using our schools’ new Netbooks to research information about Groundhog Day and groundhogs. Each season brings another festival, new activities, and more fun. The day wouldn’t have been successful without our wonderful parent volunteers and all the donations sent in by so many. We can’t wait for our Spring Festival
