Franciscan Health joins City of Crown Point to sponsor blood drive on June 23 at Bulldog Park

CROWN POINT, Indiana | To address an urgent need for blood donations during the COVID-19 pandemic, Franciscan Health is joining the City of Crown Point to host a Versiti Blood Center of Illinois blood drive at Bulldog Park. The blood drive will be from 9AM to 2PM, Tuesday, June 23 in the park’s second floor conference room at 183 S. West St.

In conjunction with the blood drive, food drive donations are also being sought. Bring a non-perishable food item to support the Food Bank of Northwest Indiana. The event will also include a meet and greet with Emmett Robinson, MD, an internal medicine physician with Franciscan Physician Network.

Appointments are encouraged and can be scheduled by going online at versiti.org/IL or by calling 1-800-7TO-Give (1-800-786-4483) and choosing your preferred time. Walk-ins are also welcome. Identification is required, and donors must wear a mask Versiti Blood Center is the primary blood provider to Franciscan Health Crown Point. All donations go to more than 70 hospitals in Indiana and Illinois.
