The Breast Care Center at Franciscan St. Anthony Health has been the recipient of a portion of the proceeds from The Bowl For The Cure since 2008 and uses the funds to provide mammograms for underprivileged area women.

The association again this year requested a friendly “bowl-off” to enhance fund-raising efforts, which resulted in approximately $9,000 raised that was split between the hospitals. Bowl for the Cure was begun by Debbie Martin, an employee of Franciscan Physician Network-Michigan City. Shown, from left, are team members Darla Ream, executive assistant to hospital president James Callaghan, MD; Jacque Pitrowski, benefits specialist in the Human Resources department; Daneen Kaufman, a former hospital employee; Stephanie Ream, a Franciscan Physician Network receptionist; and Craig Menninga, hospital manager of diagnostic imaging.
