Franciscan St. Anthony Health EMS Academy Offers Paramedic Training Program

rot6The Franciscan St. Anthony Health-Crown Point Emergency Medical Services Academy will offer applications starting Aug. 30 for its next paramedic training program, which will take place starting in January.

Applications must be returned to or mailed to the EMS Academy, which is located on the second floor of the hospital’s Medical Arts Center, 1201 S. Main St., Suite 201, by 4 p.m. Oct. 28. They are available on the academy website: http://www.franciscanalliance.org/health-professionals.

Classes are led by active paramedics, nurses and physicians. Applicants must be at least 18 years of age and be certified in Indiana as emergency medical technician, or higher.

Course fee is $5,000, with a $25 application fee due at the time of submission. Installments of $1,500 are due on the first day of the first, second and third semesters, unless other arrangements, which must be approved by the program director, are made.
