The senior class at Andrean High School in Merrillville recently donated baby items to St. Monica Home in Dyer. Among them were sleepers, onsies, infant toys, diapers and toddler clothes. The students collected and recently delivered the gifts to the home. They are, from left, Derek Maldonado, Lindsey Forbes and Natalie Nowesnick.
St. Monica, a mission outreach program of Franciscan St. Margaret Health-Dyer, offers a safe residential environment for pregnant teens and their newborn babies. It provides educational programs, counseling services, work-experience programs and parenting classes for its residents.
